Nippon Sanso Italia releases the Sustainability Report 2026
For the seventh consecutive year, Nippon Sanso Italia has published its Sustainability Report, covering the financial year ending 31 March 2026.
Through our results, objectives and projects in the environmental, social and governance fields, we outline our journey towards sustainable growth.
Written in accordance with international GRI standards and in line with the policies of the European parent company and the Japanese parent company, the report represents a key tool for dialogue and accountability towards all stakeholders. To confirm the transparency and accuracy of the information presented, the document has been audited by EY.
“Sustainability is a journey we are building together, day by day, thanks to the commitment and passion of all our people. The results we have achieved reflect the strength of a shared vision that is committed to the environment and the communities in which we operate. Building on the milestones and expertise we have developed over the years, we are ready to tackle the challenges of the next Medium-Term Plan and to continue making a positive impact, whilst strengthening our leadership in environmental fields.”
Paola Amore, Sustainability and Investments Director of Nippon Sanso Italia
The 2025–2026 financial year marked an important milestone in our history. From 1 April 2026, Nippon Gases Italia changed its name to Nippon Sanso Italia, completing the process of aligning with the Group’s global identity under the leadership of its Japanese parent company, Nippon Sanso Holdings Corporation. This change reinforces our sense of belonging to an international organisation united by a common vision, shared values and a strong focus on innovation and sustainability.
The 2026 Sustainability Report is divided into four chapters:
- Who we are: An overview of the Nippon Sanso Italia Group and the action plan adopted by the company to achieve its sustainability objectives.
- Creating social value together: Governance, integrity standards and management systems adopted to ensure integrity and transparency.
- Together towards a low-emission world: The Group’s commitment to the transitioning to a low-emission world, through reducing its own environmental impact and developing innovative solutions to support customers on their path towards decarbonisation.
- Together, we grow stronger: This section explains how the company looks after its people: employee training and development initiatives, the promotion of inclusion, and the creation of a motivating and safe working environment.
“Sustainability is not something we do in addition to our work: It is the way in which we choose to carry it out. We believe that sustainability is above all a choice to act responsibly towards the future. A choice that concerns every person in our organisation and is reflected in the way we do business, innovate and grow. For Nippon Sanso Italia, this means creating economic value without losing sight of human values, protecting the environment without compromising development, and contributing to the well-being of the communities in which we live and work. It is a vision that guides us every day and will continue to shape our journey.”
Eduina Marino, President and Chief Executive Officer of Nippon Sanso Italia
