Liquid nitrogen can be used with cryogenic recovery equipment to remove and recover volatile organic contaminants from the process flow. In many cases, the recovered product can be reused in the production process. Being this an indirect cooling process, the gaseous nitrogen can be reused in refineries in its nitrogen system.
