Nippon Sanso’s commitment to safety has been awarded at EIGA’s Summer Summit
The company received the Company Safety Award and 12 Zero Accident Awards
Nippon Sanso, part of Nippon Sanso Group, a global leader in industrial and medical gases, was awarded during EIGA’s Summer Summit held May 27-29 in Dubrovnik, Croatia. During this event, the company received a total of 13 awards, recognising its safety performance, the Company Safety Award, as well as 12 Zero Accident Awards. These recognitions highlight the company’s strong safety culture and its employees’ daily commitment.
The Company Safety Awardbis one of the top safety recognitions from EIGA, dedicated to companies with a large operational scale and complexity. This award highlights the company’s outstanding overall performance: a strong safety culture across the organisation, consistently low incident rates and effective risk management systems and processes. This award was received by Rainer Wysotzki, Chief SHEQ Officer at Nippon Sanso Europe, who stated about Nippon Sanso’s overall commitment to safety: “Safety is our top priority- it´s about the health and well-being of our most valuable asset- our employees. To receive this award is a recognition of all our joint effort in Safety”.
The12 Zero Accident Awards were awarded each to a different site, plant or operational unit that during the past year have achieved perfect safety performance, with zero recordable accidents or lost-time injuries. These awards reflect how commitment to safety is much more than policies: it’s a daily practice where each employee plays a fundamental role. Rainer Wysotzki received these awards on behalf of all the sites recognised, sharing how “these awards show the long-time commitment to Safety at Nippon Sanso”.
The Summit, on the theme “Mastering Oxygen Safely”, was an opportunity to bring together industry leaders and experts to exchange knowledge, strengthen collaboration, and address key challenges facing the sector. Christoph Laumen, Chief R&D and Government Affairs Officer at Nippon Sanso Europe, also reflected on the importance of Nippon Sanso’s involvement in EIGA’s events: “Active participation in industry associations like EIGA enables companies Nippon Sanso to exchange critical knowledge, strengthen collaboration, and raise safety standards—while also enhancing our industries visibility and positioning with governments and policymakers”.
