Cheap but difficult to use

Under normal circumstances (temperature and pressure), this gas is inert. As soon as it is subjected to high temperatures, it can become active, influencing the result. It is usually used in the PBF 3D printing process, exclusively for stainless steel products. In addition, it is also used for the inerting of metal powders in the storage phase.

Nitrogen is often only used for processing stainless steel powder.
