Nippon Sanso Holdings Corporation

Nippon Sanso Holdings Corporation is the parent company of Taiyo Nippon Sanso in Japan, the US Matheson Tri-Gas Group, Nippon Sanso in Europe, the Asia/Oceania Regional Group and the Thermos Business Group.

NSHC has over 100 years of experience and boasts a major presence in Japan, Southeast Asia, Australia, the United States and Canada, operating in 31 countries with more than 19,000 employees around the world.

1910

Nippon Sanso Corporation is established as Nippon Sanso L.t.d.

1946

Toyo Sanso was established as Taiyo Sanso Co., Ltd; completed first production facility and commenced sales in 1947

1983

Acquired Matheson Gas Products, Inc., of the United States

1992

Acquired industrial gases manufacturer Tri-Gas, Inc., in the United States (merged with Matheson in 1999 to create Matheson Tri-Gas, Inc.)

1994

Merger agreement signed by Taiyo Sanso and Toyo Sanso: in 1995 commenced operations under the Taiyo Toyo Sanso Name

2003

Established industrial gases manufacturing and marketing company Shanghai Nippon Sanso Gas Co., Ud. (currently Shanghai Taiyo Nippon Sanso Gas Co., Ud.), in China.

2004

Taiyo Toyo Sanso and Nippon Sanso formed Taiyo Nippon Sanso (TNS)

2018

Nippon Gases Europe became par of the TNSC

2020

October 1st. The Nippon Sanso Holding Corporation was launched to start the transition to a global holding company structure.
