For density-driven redemption of CO2
Carbon dioxide (CO2) is a natural alternative to conventional acids.
Nippon Gases designs, supplies and installs the necessary equipment for the beneficial use of CO2 for neutralization.
For density-driven redemption of CO2
Highly efficient CO2 dissolution system.
Monitor and control CO2 dose with WaterSan MiruGas®
used to neutralize the level of alkaline waters. For safety, environmental and cost reasons, users are increasingly opting to use carbon dioxide (CO2) as an alternative neutralizing agent instead of mineral acids.
Alkaline wastewater can be produced in different ways: directly during production processes or during chemical/physical pre-treatment, such as through the use of caustic soda or milk of lime.
The use of CO2 eliminates the risks and dangers of handling caustic, corrosive and hazardous substances.
CO2 is dosed fully automatically. The buffer capacity enables simple and precise adjustment of the pH-value. Overdosing is practically impossible.
Salts dissolved in surface water with low hardness (buffer capacity) can lead to corrosion processes that can damage pipes and fittings.
By adjusting the lime-carbonic acid balance, material-protecting cover layers can be built up to prevent these processes.
Nippon Gases' neutralization technology offers a high degree of operational safety, especially when a biological treatment stage is installed downstream of the neutralization process.
and maintaining the pH value is a prerequisite for maintaining the biological purification performance.
Comparatively low consumption quantities and operating costs as well as low investments are decisive for the economic advantage of using CO2 as a neutralizing agent.
No inorganic salts that require monitoring are formed through the use of CO2. CO2 is also characterized by its uncomplicated handling and simple storage or stockpiling. Furthermore, recovered CO2 can be reused, thus avoiding emissions.
At Nippon Gases we are called “The Gas Professionals” for a reason, and it’s because we’ll be able to solve any doubt.
